| Product Description | |
CDX2 is a member of the caudal-related homeobox transcription factor gene family. CDX2 plays a significant role in the development and differentiation of the intestinal epithelium. Cdx2 is primarily expressed in the small intestine and colon, where Cdx2 regulates the expression of genes involved in maintaining the intestinal phenotype and promoting cellular growth. The proper functioning of Cdx2 is vital for the anterior-posterior patterning of the intestinal epithelium, as Cdx2 influences the proliferation and differentiation of cells along the crypt-villus axis. Notably, a decrease in Cdx2 expression has been linked to colorectal tumorigenesis, highlighting Cdx2′s importance in tumor suppression. |
