| Product Description | |
HSP70 also known as HSPA1A is a 70kDa heat shock protein which is a member of the heat shock protein 70 family. HSP70 plays a vital role in cellular stress responses, particularly in protecting cells from damage caused by heat and other stressors. HSP70 functions primarily as a molecular chaperone, facilitating the proper folding of nascent polypeptide chains and preventing the aggregation of misfolded proteins, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis. HSP70 is predominantly located in the cytosol and nucleus of mammalian cells, where HSP70 assists in the translocation of proteins across cellular membranes and into organelles, thereby ensuring that proteins reach their correct destinations and maintain their functional conformations. HSP70′s ability to respond to stress by increasing expression levels is critical for cell survival, especially under conditions that induce protein misfolding. |
