Product Description

Annexin A1 aslo known as Annexin I, ANXA1 is a pivotal member of the annexin family of calcium-binding proteins, playing a crucial role in cellular processes like endocytosis, exocytosis, and cellular adhesion through its calcium-dependent phospholipid binding capabilities. The function of Annexin I is particularly important in mediating the anti-inflammatory responses elicited by glucocorticoids and in inhibiting cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2), a key enzyme involved in the inflammatory cascade. This makes Annexin I a significant target for research into inflammation, cancer, and various other disease mechanisms. Annexin I′s ability to regulate cellular trafficking and signal transduction underscores its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to external stimuli.
