| Product Description | |
NFIA also known as NF1A is a member of the NF1 (nuclear factor 1) family of transcription factors. NFIA activates cell-type-specific enhancers and facilitates the binding of PPARγ, the master transcriptional regulator of adipogenesis, to control the brown fat gene program. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Additionally, NFIA represses the expression of Myod1, the master transcriptional regulator of myogenesis, thus actively suppressing the myogenic gene program. |
