| Product Description | |
CaMKIα also known as CaMKI-alpha, CAMKI, CANK1 is a component of a calmodulin-dependent protein kinase cascade and is expressed in many tissues. CaMKIα plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including the regulation of gene expression, cell growth, and differentiation, by acting as a key mediator in calcium signaling pathways. CaMKIα is primarily located in the cytoplasm and nucleus, where CaMKIα transduces calcium signals into cellular responses, making CaMKIα essential for processes such as neuronal signaling and muscle contraction. CaMKIα′s ability to translocate to the nucleus upon activation allows CaMKIα to influence transcription factors and other nuclear proteins, thereby impacting gene expression and cellular function. |
