| Product Description | |
Inhibin β-A also known as Inhibin Beta-1, FRP is a member of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Inhibin β-A plays a crucial role in regulating reproductive hormones, particularly in inhibiting follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion from the pituitary gland, which is vital for maintaining proper reproductive function and hormonal balance. Inhibin β-A is predominantly expressed in the liver, uterus, and ovaries, where Inhibin β-A participates in various physiological processes, including germ cell development and maturation, as well as erythroid differentiation. The balance between inhibins and activins is essential, as inhibins suppress FSH release while activins promote FSH release, thus influencing reproductive health and development. |
