| Product Description | |
PHLDA2 also known as TSSC3 is located in a cluster of imprinted genes on chromosome 11p15.5, which is considered to be an important tumor suppressor gene region. PHLDA2 plays a crucial role in regulating fetal and placental growth, making PHLDA2 essential for normal human development. This cytoplasmic protein is predominantly expressed in the placenta and adult prostate, with lower levels found in the liver, lung, and brain. PHLDA2 functions as an apoptosis-related protein and acts as a negative growth regulator, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis during development. Notably, PHLDA2 is imprinted on the placenta, liver, and fetal tissues during embryogenesis, and PHLDA2 expression is tightly regulated, being removed once development is complete. |
