| Product Description | |
PKA C is a critical cAMP-dependent enzyme that orchestrates a wide range of cellular functions, including regulation of cell proliferation, ion transport, metabolism, and gene transcription. By phosphorylating specific target proteins, PKA C modulates key signaling pathways that are essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to external stimuli. The catalytic subunits of PKA C become active upon binding of cyclic AMP to the regulatory subunits, leading to their dissociation and subsequent translocation to various cellular compartments where they execute phosphorylation of substrates involved in diverse biological processes. The proper functioning of PKA is vital for numerous physiological processes, and its dysregulation is associated with various diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders. |
