| Product Description | |
TIF1α also known as TRIM24 is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. TIF1α plays a crucial role in mediating transcriptional regulation by interacting with the activation function 2 (AF2) region of several nuclear receptors, such as estrogen, retinoic acid, and vitamin D3 receptors, which are essential for various physiological processes including development, metabolism, and cellular differentiation. TIF1α is localized to nuclear bodies and associates with chromatin and heterochromatin-associated factors, highlighting its importance in gene expression regulation. As a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family, TIF1α contains three zinc-binding domains (RING, B-box type 1, and B-box type 2) along with a coiled-coil region, which are critical for structural integrity and functional interactions. |
