Product Description

LY-6D also known as E48 is a 128 amino acid glycoprotein predominantly expressed in squamous cell carcinoma cell lines and squamous cell epithelial tissues. LY-6D′s structure includes a signal peptide, two theoretical phosphorylation sites, and three putative myristoylation sites, which are crucial for function and localization within the cell. Post-translational modifications can significantly influence LY-6D′s stability, interactions, and overall activity, making them vital for understanding its role in cancer biology. Notably, upregulation of LY-6D in head and neck cancers is associated with poor prognosis, and high expression levels have been linked to enhanced cell migration.
