Product Description

HSP60 also known as HSPD1 is a key member of the heat shock protein family. HSP60 plays a crucial role in mitochondrial function, acting as a molecular chaperone that assists in proper folding and assembly of newly synthesized proteins destined for the mitochondrial matrix. HSP60 is located in both mitochondria and cytosol, highlighting HSP60′s importance in cellular processes that require transport and proper folding of polypeptides across membranes.
