Product Description

Cdc25C is a conserved protein that plays a key role in the regulation of cell division. Cdc25C plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle by acting as a phosphatase that activates cyclin-dependent kinases (Cdks), which are essential for the progression of the cell cycle. Specifically, Cdc25C dephosphorylates and activates Cdk2 and Cdc2, facilitating the transition from the G2 phase to mitosis. This activation is vital for proper cell division and DNA replication, as Cdc25C ensures that cells only enter mitosis when fully prepared, thereby maintaining genomic stability. Dysregulation of Cdc25C can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation and is implicated in various cancers, making Cdc25C an important target for research and therapeutic interventions.
