| Product Description | |
DAPK1(Death associated protein kinase 1) also known as DAPK is a positive mediator of gamma-interferon induced programmed cell death. DAPK1 plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis, a vital process for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing tumorigenesis. DAPK1 is characterized by its "death domain," which is essential for mediating apoptosis in response to various stimuli, including interferon-gamma. Introduction of DAPK1 into highly metastatic carcinoma clones lacking DAPK1 expression has been shown to suppress metastasis, highlighting DAPK1′s significant role in cancer biology. DAPK1 interacts with other proteins involved in apoptotic signaling pathways, underscoring DAPK1′s importance in cellular responses to stress and damage. |
